Robot skips 106 times per minute

Skipping is one of our favorite playground pursuits at childhood. Adults also use to do skipping as it not only for joy but also a easy and good exercise for our health.

But did you hear about robots doing skipping?

A penguin shaped robot known as Jumpen set a world Guinness book record for the most number of skips by a robot in a minute. Jumpen skips for 106 times in 60 seconds which is highest skips by a robot in a minute.

Jumpen is built in National Institute of Technology Nara College in Japan. Jumpen has been participated in a Robocon event held in Tokyo. Where the bot performed highest of skips in a second and set a world record.
